My Story
Hi, I'm Dipankar Sen. I was born and brought up in a small town 'Halisahar' in West Bengal, India. I completed my MS in Physics from IISER Bhopal. I'm currently a doctoral student in the Department of Physics & Astronomy, Texas A &M University. Currently, I'm working jointly with Prof. Alexei Sokolov and Dr. Aart Verhoef. My current research interest is 'BIOPHOTONICS', 'MICROSCOPY' and 'QUANTUM OPTICS'.

Currently I'm a PhD candidate at Texas A & M University. I'm also serving as a Graduate Research Assistant in Department of Physics.

I completed my MS with a CGPA of 9.87 out of 10 and became joint topper among the class.

Completed BSc with Physics Major with 71.125%. Had Mathematics and Chemistry Minor during the undergrad.

Passed the HS exam with 84.4% marks and became top in the school. I was among top 1% students of my state and got INSPIRE scholarship from DST, Govt. of India

Currently as a GRA I am working on multiple interdisciplinary imaging & spectroscopy projects to improve the food security of our world.

I have investigated different biofuel sources (plants) using Quantum Ghost Imaging (QGI) technique which might lead to sustainable energy sources.

Taught Undergraduate Level 'Electricity & Magnetism' and conducted 'Newtonian Mechanics' labs. Also, did grading for doctoral level 'Statistical Mechanics' and 'Mathematical Physics'.
